The Wish

World-famous travel photographer Maggie Dawes, battling stage IV melanoma, recounts the pivotal story of her first love to her assistant, Mark. At 16, a pregnant Maggie was sent to Ocracoke Island to live with her aunt. There, she met Bryce Trickett, an 18-year-old on his way to West Point. Bryce introduced her to photography, and they fell in love. However, Maggie decided to return to her family after giving birth, realizing she and Bryce were too young. Later, she learns Bryce died while deployed in Afghanistan. In the present, Maggie receives a special Christmas gift, revealing Mark's true identity and giving her the wish she desired.
